Online Services Conference

The rapid diffusion of Internet networks fosters the development of new online services in many different sectors/domains: communication, media, education, cultural industries, health, trading, public services, game industries… The focus is therefore shifted from access to emerging issues of innovative services and diffusion of usages.
The Conference is aiming to analyse the conditions enabling the emergence and the development of these new services within organizations and markets.

Objective
The Conference will focus on:
- The diverse networks that will be able to provide these online services (optic fibre, wireline, wireless, cable, satellite…) and on competition/complementarities between these networks.
- The elaboration of online contents and services: changes of organizational and business models, supply side, content protection issues, and willingness to accept new services.
- New usages patterns: reducing uncertainty and complexity, learning prerequisites and interactions between producers and users.

Usages analysis and evaluation; Users’ practices, digital divide, learning practices; Social interactions and communities; Mobility: mobile tools and equipments, mobile uses, ICTs pervasiveness; Privacy, tracking techniques, data protection...
