RAL3 : Dynamics of Knowledge Accumulation, Regional Cohesion and Economic Policies: a Micro-to-Macro Approach
DIME's work on Knowledge, Regions, Cohesion and Policy tries to answer the fundamental question of how interactions at the micro and meso level will feed into the macro-relationship between knowledge and the development of the European Union in the global economy.
In order to answer this question, DIME organizes a series of workshops and meetings, and initiates and integrates research. Currently, activties focus on three themes: European competitiveness and the factors affecting it, regional cohesion and the effectiveness of European policy instruments (the Structural Funds), and technology policy and (more traditional) macroeconomic policies.
This site provides an overview of ongoing activities and DIME results in these fields.
