The knowledge-based perspective of MNC evolution argues that it is in the transferring of tacit knowledge across borders that the advantages of MNCs are most apparent. However, the tacitness of knowledge also places a major constraint on the extent it can be shared and transferred abroad.  read more »

Whilst much research has focused upon the socio-institutional governance of partnership working within which processes of social learning and knowledge exchange are implicit (Healey 1998; Taylor 2000; Kearns 2004), few studies have explicitly focused upon how the processes of learning occur, or importantly do not occur, within the context of community-led activities.  read more »
