DIME WP 1.2 - Communities of Practice: Local, Virtual and Dispersed

This strand of the DIME project, coordinated from the University of Durham, seeks to bring together a network of prominent, as well as up-and-coming, scholars and practitioners interested in and/or working on issues of communities of practice (CoPs). Consisting of individuals from within the EU, the network’s main stress is upon the dynamics and roles of CoPs in a variety of different contexts, as well as the different ways in which these could be investigated. This primarily stems from the keen desire of the EU to fully uncover the many limits and possibilities of CoPs in economic development, innovation and regeneration within the region.
